Greetings!
Welcome to our website! I am Pastor Lauretta Dietrich, and I am the pastor of the Spring Mills Lutheran Parish. This parish is comprised of 2 congregations: New Hope Lutheran Church, which meets for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM, and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Farmer’s Mills, which meets for worship on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM.
I have been the pastor here for over 5 years, and I have been an ordained Lutheran Pastor for about 30 years. In Philadelphia, PA, where I was born and raised, I was baptized within the Lutheran church one month after I was born. I was raised in the Lutheran church; thus I am a “womb-to-tomb” Lutheran.
I graduated from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (LTSP) with my Master of Divinity degree in 1996 and was ordained a Lutheran Pastor on 9/28/1996.
I love the Lutheran church and the grace we receive from God and give from God through Jesus Christ our Lord; and I love the care and outreach these two congregations embody in Christ our Lord. We value prayer, worship, and singing. We value service in the name of Jesus. And we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to pray, love, serve, forgive, and be nourished in Christ Jesus though the word of God and the sacraments.
We celebrate Holy Communion on the 2nd Sunday of each month and on festival Sundays. You are welcome to come and worship God at either location of the Spring Mills Lutheran Parish, and we will be joyful to meet you. Please come and worship God among us! We hope to see you soon.
